Description:
Similar to S. oxyriifolius in having fleshy, peltate leaves but differing in having ray florets which oxyriifolius does not.
Notes: The specimen in the photographs (Wursten 185, BR)apparently is the first record from Mozambique.
Derivation of specific name: milanjianus: from Mt Mulanje in Malawi
Habitat: Open grassland, forest and rocky places
