Virgate shrub up to 1 m tall, growing in shallow water.

The narrower, lanceolate stipules and the long-stipitate fruit clearly match Aeschynomene mossambicensis and this appears to be the first record of this species from the Manica-Sofala Division.

Fairly high altitude for this variety but all parts almost comletely without glandular hairs
